The Eastern Regional Second Division Middle League starts on Saturday at Koforidua with promotion at stake for the teams involved.
This promotional tournament to the National Division One League (DOL), will involve eight teams from the region.
The eight teams, topped their respective zones at the end of the zonal leagues, and they will battle for a place in the DOL next season.
Set to participate in this year’s event, are Kwahu Rangers FC (Zone One), Live Now FC from Zone Two, BS Pelicans (Zone Three), Golden Warriors FC from Zone Four, Port City FC (Zone Five) and MK Young Stars FC from Zone Six.
The opening game of the campaign will see Golden Warriors FC face Port City FC at the Koforidua Youth Resource Centre on Saturday, with kick-off time set for at 9:00 AM local time.
Kwahu Rangers FC will then play Live Now FC at 12:00 PM at the same venue in the second game of the day as the battle for promotion to represent the region in the DOL begins.
In the final game of the day, MK Young Stars, will play Blue Skies Pelicans to complete the Matchday One fixtures.
