Medeama SC has submitted T and A Stadium as their venue for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season. The former Ghanaian champions aim to utilize the new stadium after being forced to play away from home since 2019.
Previously, the team had been using the Akoon Community Park, but the Gold Fields-funded stadium is now ready. The newly commissioned stadium, which has a capacity of 10,000, features modern facilities and a top-quality pitch. Medeama SC has officially submitted it to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as their main venue.
Meanwhile, Akoon Park will serve as the club’s alternative venue, and they plan to use Umat Park for training. The GFA’s licensing process of reviewing and inspecting the submitted venues will begin immediately to finalize decisions on match venues. These venues may be approved, conditionally approved, or rejected based on the inspections.
The GFA will soon announce the inspection schedule and the status of all submitted venues. Medeama SC will be notified of any necessary adjustments in accordance with the GFA Stadium Regulations before the scheduled inspections, set to take place from August 8 to 21, 2024.
