Coach Nurudeen Amadu believes his FC Samartex side, is poised to go past Moroccan giants Raja Athletic Club in their CAF Champions League encounter next month.
The Timber giants, beat Cameroonian champions Victoria United 2-0 on aggregate to advance to this stage of the competition where they will play the former champions of the competition.
The Ghana Premier League champions, will host the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on the weekend of September 13-15, before trekking to Casablanca for the return fixture a week later.
And, Coach Nurudeen Amadu said his side will be ready for the encounter as they compete in the competition for the first time.
“We know the quality of opposition we will be facing, but, we are preparing for them and, I am confident that the boys will be ready for the game,” Coach Nurudeen Amadu told the club’s media.
A place at the group phase of the competition is at stake for the winner of this two legged affair.
Meanwhile, FC Samartex are preparing to face FA Cup winners Nsoatreman FC in the 2024 Champion of Champions clash on Saturday at the TnA Stadium, Tarkwa to officially set the ball rolling for the 2024/25 Ghana football season.
