New Asante Kotoko signing Sampson Eduku said he aims to enhance his performance alongside teammates Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku.
The striker, penned a one-and-a-half year deal with the Porcupines on Thursday, and, is available for immediate selection.
And, the Asante Kotoko faithful will hope he brings his wealth of experience to the club as they compete on all fronts this season.
“Joining Asante Kotoko is a massive step in my career”, Eduku told the club’s media after putting pen to paper.
The 29-year-old forward aims to help the team achieve its Ghana Premier League (GPL), goals as well as the MTN FA Cup competition this season.
Eduku, previously played for Sekondi Hasaacas, FC Samartex 1996, and Tamale City in Ghana as well as Iraqi side Al Quwa Al Jawiya.
“It feels amazing to join a club as big as Kotoko. This is a massive step in my career, and I’m fully aware of the expectations that comes with playing for this great club”, he said.
“I’m here to work hard, score goals, and help the team achieve its ambitions.
“Competing with fellow striker’s Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku will only push me to be better and, I relish the competition.
Eduku, could make he debut for the Porcupines on Sunday in the MTN FA Cup competition when Asante Kotoko plays third tier side Acceler8z FC in a Round of 32 tie.
The game will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi with kick-off time set for 3:00 PM local time.
