Ghana champions Medeama SC will use the Cape Coast Stadium as home venue for their maiden campaign in the CAF Champions League, totalsportsghana.com can reveal.
The Yellow and Mauves had hope to use the T&A Park at Tarkwa for their home games, but the facility will not be ready in time to host games next month.
The first preliminary round of the 2023-24 CAF inter club competitions is expected to start in August.
It is now certain that Medeama SC will play their first Champions League home game in Cape Coast due to construction works currently ongoing at the T&A Park to make it a modern stadia.
The facility is being given a facelift to an 10,000 seater capacity stadium, but the construction has been delayed, thus making it impossible for the Tarkwa-based club to use it.
The draw for the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League will be done by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) later this month.
