The Ghana Football Association (GFA), has launched a national football philosophy as a bedrock for the country’s football development as it seek to recapture its lost glory.
It came off successfully in Accra on Wednesday, attended by the top hierarchy of the GFA, past players and coaches as well as members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports.
President of the GFA, Kurt Okraku said, this Ghana football DNA, will be the long term and step-by-step plan to revive the fortunes of the sport in the country.
This will be the coaching and playing philosophy of Ghana football going forward, hoping that it revives the ailing fortunes of the game that once made Ghana a powerhouse in Africa.
The GFA hopes that this DNA will be adopted nationwide at all levels of the game as Ghana seeks to catch-up with other nations on the continent and beyond.
It was put together by the technical directorate of the GFA headed by the German Bernard Liphert who said they took a survey involving 200 football people before issuing the final document.
