Premier club Accra Hearts of Oak have named Dutchman Rene Hiddink as their new Technical Director.
Hiddink, brother the more famous Dutch tactician Guus, has been appointed to head a new technical team being put together by the former African champions.
A statement from the camp of the Phobians said, Hiddink will head the technical department, with further appointments soon to be made.
Jerry Adjei Asare, has been appointed as new goalkeeper’s coach with former Ghana youth international Sebastian Barnes as head of scouting. Carlos Klu is the new welfare officer of the club.
The club is hopeful that this new technical team, can help turn things around for the Phobians after enduring a disastrous campaign last season.
Accra Hearts of Oak will begin preseason training on August 1, 2023 ahead of the start of the 2023-24 campaign.
The team will look to improve on their performance of last season which saw them avoid relegation on the last day of the campaign.
