Center back Richard Akrofi has signed a short-term deal with Ghanaian champions Medeama SC ahead of the new football season.
The former Wa All Stars, Accra Hearts of Oak and Nsoatreman FC player, completed his medicals and signed a one-deal on Monday.
Akrofi, joins the Yellow and Mauves for their campaign next season as they compete on all fronts.
He brings to the squad vast experience of playing in the Ghanaian top-flight, having been part of the Wa All Stars side that won the Ghana Premier League title in the 2015/16 season.
Last season, he was a main stay in the Nsoatreman FC defence as they survived the betPawa Premier League on their debut campaign, having signed a similar one-year deal with the Nsoatre-based club.
Coach Augustine Adotey has included him in the Medeama SC squad he has called to camp ahead of their CAF Champions League qualifier with Remo Stars of Nigeria.
Akrofi, has travelled with the team to their camping base at Bataanya in the Central region to prepare for the game with Remo Stars.
