The Interim Management Committee (IMC), of Asante Kotoko in a move initiated by the Chief of Staff at he Manhyia Palace, has embarked on visitation to former sponsors of the club, Access Bank and Hisense for possible renewal of their sponsorship package.
Their deals with the Kumasi- based club, has expired.
The erstwhile Nana Yaw Amponsah management, secured these sponsorships for Kotoko on a three-year deal.
Access bank helped the Porcupines to acquire an ultramodern bus that befits the club’s status and in effect became the official bank sponsor of the club.
Hisense on the other hand, sponsored Asante Kotoko with products and cash for the team and it’s legends during the period.
The two sponsorship deals has expired and the newly installed IMC, is seeking to renew these sponsorship by visiting their headquarters in Accra for talks.
The IMC, was appointed by Club owner, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to help steer the affairs of the club before a new board of directors is appointed going forward.
