Record Ghana champions Asante Kotoko recorded a win and a draw in the two pre-season friendlies they played on Wednesday.
Both games were played at the Dr K. K. Sarpong Stadium at Beposo in the Ashanti region, venue of their pre-season preparations.
The first game of the day was played in the morning, with Kotoko drawing goalless with newly promoted Division One League (DOL), side PAC Academy.
Coach Prosper Nartey Ogum’s side, had the chance to win this game, but striker Kalo Quatara, missed a first half penalty that would have put them ahead.
In the second game of the day played in the afternoon, Asante Kotoko won 1-0 against Asekem FC to complete the two games exercise on Wednesday for Coach Ogum and his charges.
The former Ghana league winner, used these games to test the readiness of his charges for the start of the new season after being in pre-season training for over two weeks now.
The Porcupines, have lined up another friendly on Sunday against Future Stars FC with the encounter set to come off at the Okese Park, Ejisu near Kumasi.
Asante Kotoko will open their account in the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League with a home game against Heart of Lions in Kumasi next month.
