Ghana needs to avoid defeat to the Central African Republic to book a place at next year’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.
The Black Stars will host the Central Africans at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Thursday, knowing they are a step away from gaining qualification to the event.
Coach Chris Hughton’s side, tops Group E in the qualifying campaign, with the Black Stars on nine points from the five matches they have played.
Ghana, leads Angola by a point, with the Central Africans on seven points as they chase qualification of their own.
The Islanders of Madagascar, are bottom of the table with two points, and they are out of the running for qualification.
This is a must win game for Central African Republic who will go through with a win. A draw, may not be good for them if Angola march that result.
The Angolans will play Madagascar in a game they will be huge favourites to get the result.
The Black Stars, can be assured of a huge turn out at the Baba Yara Stadium tomorrow, with most hoping the team will rise to the occasion and get the needed result to advance to next year’s tournament.
Ghana will be the odds on favourites to get the result, but it will not come easy as they only result that will see the Central Africans through, is a win.
