Former Ghanaian football star, Nii Odartey Lamptey, has expressed his confidence in the Black Stars’ team’s potential, stating that they will come good but only need time. In an interview with popular broadcaster George Kuntu Blankson on the Takoradi based Skyy Power FM/ Westgold Radio đź“», Lamptey shared his thoughts on the Black Stars’ recent win against the Central African Republic in their final group game, which secured their qualification for the AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.
“The boys clearly need time,” said Lamptey. “I know Kudus will always deliver, Antoine Semenyo is a talent, and I’ve been monitoring him in England; he’s a key player for Bournemouth.” Lamptey added that while CAR came with a game plan, he felt that the technical team did an excellent job with a good response.
Lamptey also urged Ghanaians to be patient with the team, saying that they should be easy on the players. “We should give them time. The Black Stars will come good,” he said.
The Black Stars’ next match will be against South Africa in September, and fans will be looking forward to seeing how the team will perform with the new additions to the squad. With Lamptey’s positive outlook, Ghanaian football enthusiasts will no doubt be hoping that the team will continue to make progress and entertain the fans with their dazzling displays.
