Accra Hearts of Oak’s Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga said they are ready for the start of the 2023/24 football season after a successful pre-season.
The Phobians, scored 35 goals in the nine friendlies they played during the pre-season preparations, conceding five goals.
And, the Congolese midfielder hopes they can translate that form into the new season which begins on Friday.
“We have prepared very well for the new season, and I am confident that we will do well in the league,” Otanga said.
He was speaking after Hearts beat Nations FC 2-0 in their final pre-season game on Sunday at their Pobiman Training Complex.
He added: “The boys are poised for the start of the new campaign, and we will fight tooth and nail to be successful next season.”
Accra Hearts of Oak will open the new season with an away encounter against RTU at Tamale in the betPawa Premier League on Friday.
This opening game of the season has been slated for a 6:00 PM kick-off time at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
Otanga and co, will look to open the season with a win as they chase a second league title in four years.
