Two Ghanaian match offiucials Daniel Laryea and Kwasi Brobbey Aheampong have been included in a list of 65 match offcials including Centre and Assistant referees for the 2023 AFCON tournament to be hosted by the Ivory Coast.
The duo, who officiated in the last tournament in Camerron are to undergo various technical and physical training sessions to be led by FIFA tehnical and physical instructors Mike Van Der Roest.
CAF is taking the initiative to ensure match offcials for the continental championship are adequately prepared and to have a first hand assessement of the men to handle the games.
The list of offcials fro the preparation course is made of 32 centre referees, 33 assistant referees, and 4 VAR officials.
Daniel Laryea and Kwasi Brobbey Acheampong have been Ghana’s top match offciials for the past 5 years leading the country in several continental assisgnements inckuding the CAF Champions League, the Confederation cup, youth tournaments, and the recent CHAN tournament in Algeria.
