Ghana’s Dreams FC will host FC Kallon of Sierra Leone in a first leg CAF Confederation Cup qualifier as both clubs look to make it to the group phase of the competition.
This final qualifying round to the group phase, will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday with kick-off time set 54:00 PM local time.
Dreams FC made it to this stage of the competition after eliminating Milo FC De Kankan of Guinea in the last round.
The Ghanaian FA Cup winners, won 3-2 over two legs against the Guineans, and they will be happy with a similar outcome against FC Kallon.
On their part, the Sierra Leonians reached this stage without kicking a ball following the withdrawal of AS Douanes of Niger from the competition.
Dreams FC will look to make the most of the home conditions as they welcome FC Kallon to Ghana, to make the return encounter less difficult.
Coach Abdul Karim Zito, has a full squad to chose from, and he will hope his charges will rise to the occasion and win the game comfortably.
The Ghanaians are the odds on favourites to win this game although Coach Zito admits he has very little information on the opposition.
That notwithstanding, Dreams FC should be home and dry after 90 minutes despite an expected stubborn resistance from the visitors.
The return encounter will be played in Sierra Leone on the weekend ending September 30 at the National Stadium in Freetown.
The aggregate winner of this two-legged affair, will advance to the group phase of the competition, a stage Dreams FC targeted before the start of their maiden voyage into African club competition.
