Heart of Lions will be difficult to beat as they face record Ghana champions Asante Kotoko on Sunday according to head coach Fatawu Salifu.
The Kpando-based side, plays Kotoko in their opening league game of the season on their return to the Ghanaian top-flight.
“We are ready for Kotoko on Sunday, we have prepared very well for this game, “Coach Salifu said ahead of the encounter.
It would be played at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi in the Garden City with kick-off time set for 6:00 PM local time.
And, Coach Salifu insists his charges will rise to the occasion on Sunday and give the Porcupines a good run out in front of their home fans.
“Our aim is to retain our status as a top-flight side at the end of the campaign, and it is important that we get off to a good start,” he said.
“Heart of Lions will be difficult to beat on Sunday, and we plan leaving the Baba Yara Stadium with a point at least on Sunday,” Coach Salifu added.
Sunday’s fixture, will be one of five games to be played on the day as the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League kicks off this weekend.
