The name Emerald Bortey may not ring a bell for now, but the table tennis sensation is making strong waves as she aims for the top.
Ms Bortey, is ranked in the top eight female players in Ghana at the moment, and dreams of getting to the top.
She is aiming to be in the top four by the end of the year, and she is putting in the efforts to get to that level now that she has completed her BECE exams.
The player, trains at the Ping Hopes Foundation table tennis club in Nungua, Accra under the tutelage of coach Isaac Attah with the club’s Technical Director Adolf Awotwe spearheading affairs.
Coach Awotwe, is a former Ghana international, and has vast knowledge about the sport, and is aiming to translate some in building up Ms Bortey to the standards she craves for.
The Ping Hopes Foundation table tennis club, has Joseph Amoabeng as the CEO with Ricardo Sackey as the Team Manager, and they have some budding talents in their rank as they aim to produce top class players for Ghana.
