Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko find themselves in the relegation zone in the ongoing betPawa Premier League after 10 matches.
The Porcupines, suffered their third straight defeat on Sunday, going down 1-0 to FC Samartex 1996 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Samreboi.
It was the fourth defeat of the campaign for coach Prosper Nartey Ogum and his charges, with Asante Kotoko having also drawn four games with only two victories in the 10 matches they have played this season.
Asante Kotoko, has 10 points, and sit 16th on the table, three points off the bottom place.
FC Samartex, are third on the log with 16 points, two points behind leaders Nsoatreman FC, having won five of their games, drawing one with four defeats.
Nsoatreman FC, beat Real Tamale United 2-0 at home at the Nana Kromansah Amoah II Park, Nsoatre where they are unbeaten at this season.
Real Tamale United, are 15th on the table with 11 points, one point above the relegation zone going into this weekend’s round of matches.
Berekum Chelsea, won their second successive away game after beating reigning champions Medeama SC at the Akoon Community Park, Tarkwa to move fourth on the table with 16 points.
This, was Medeama SC’s first home defeat of the campaign, leaving them fifth on the log, also with 16 points.
Dreams FC, made it two straight wins after beating Accra Great Olympics 2-0 at the Theatre of Dreams Park, Dawu as they moved to the eighth position with 14 points.
Great Olympics, are winless on their travels this season, and they sit in the sixth position with 15 points.
Nations FC, moved out of the relegation zone with a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Heart of Lions at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Abrankese, Kumasi.
They’re 13th on the table with 11 points, with Lions firmly rooted to the foot of the table with seven points from the 10 matches they have played.
Bechem United, drew 1-1 with Bofoakwa Tano at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem as they sit ninth with 13 points with the Hunters, seventh with 15 points.
Accra Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities, drew goalless at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the Phobians in 11th position with 12 points, with Cities, 13th on the table also with 12 points.
