Ghana’s senior male national team the Black Stars departed Accra on Tuesday morning to continue with preparations for the double header 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.
The team will hold its first training at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon with another session scheduled for Wednesday at the same venue.
Tuesday and Wednesday’s training sessions will be behind closed doors as Coach Chris Hughton prepares his charges for these upcoming fixtures.
The Black Stars will host the Islanders of Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday as Ghana looks to begin the qualifiers with a win.
Coach Hughton, has come under some criticisms following the recent two friendly defeats to Mexico and the United States of America.
He will look for a good result backed by an improved performance on Friday afternoon as Ghana bids to make it to a second successive Mundial.
After this tie, Ghana will fly to Moroni to face Comoros next week Tuesday in another qualifier towards the event in 2026 to be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico and the USA.
