Sensational MidCity FC opened their campaign in the Ashanti Regional Second Division League over the weekend with a thumping win on Saturday.
The Lions, beat Adom FC 4-0 to make a strong statement as they aim to qualify to the National Division One League at the end of the campaign.
This Zone Five fixture, was played at the Prempeh College football pitch, Kumasi, and saw
MidCity FC dominating play from start to finish, and could have scored more.
They will look to build on this good start to the season as they seek to win their zone and qualify to the middle league campaign.
The middle league, is the promotional tournament that leads to qualification to the second tier league in Ghana.
They are one of eight clubs competing in Zone Five in the regional league, and the Lions, are hoping to clinch the sole ticket from the pool for the promotional league playoffs.
In other matches played in the zone on the opening weekend, Kumawuman drew 1-1 with Samosa FC; Mahoni FC lost 3-1 to Soccer 4 Souls with Deportivo SC beating Bantama Lions 4-2.
