Entering the game with a hunger for redemption following their previous loss to Al Ahli, Medeama clashed with the Algerian side at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
CR Belouizdad initially took the lead in the 39th minute, courtesy of a penalty kick expertly converted by Abdelraouf Benguit, putting the visitors ahead.
