The Hearts of Oak board responded swiftly to former Dutch coach Martin Koopman’s recent allegations, labeling his statement as “very distasteful” and vehemently denying claims of interference with team selection.
In a press conference held today, December 4, 2023, the Ghana Premier League side addressed the controversy, shedding light on Koopman’s departure after a series of unfavorable results.
“We believe strongly that cooperation is what can give you good results,” stated the Board.
Refuting Koopman’s assertions, the Board emphasized, “The Board finds Koopman’s statement very distasteful. The Board has never instructed any coach or Koopman not to utilize specific players.”
