Medeama SC, the Ghanaian entrant in the CAF Champions League, confronted a setback as defender Nurudeen Abdulai sustained an injury during their 1-1 draw against Yanga at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Despite their battle ending in a deadlock against the Tanzanian giants on matchday three of the CAF Champions League group stage, Medeama was struck by a more profound setback due to Abdulai’s injury.
Abdulai suffered a severe injury just before the conclusion of the first half, leading to his substitution by Kofi Asmah.
Further medical examinations are set to determine the extent of Abdulai’s injury, which regrettably casts doubt over his availability for the upcoming away fixture against Yanga in Dar es Salaam next week.
