MidCity FC posted their fourth win of the campaign in the ongoing Ashanti Regional Second Division League to keep their hopes of gaining promotion on track.
The Lions, beat Deportivo SC 3-0 in Zone Five on Sunday as they returned to winning ways following last weekend’s defeat.
MidCity FC, are second on the log with 13 points, two behind leaders Soccer 4 Souls after six matches in the zonal league.
They have won four, drawn one and lost one of the six matches they have played, with most of the campaign to come in this keenly contested zone.
Chieftains at MidCity FC are confident of picking the sole ticket at the end of the campaign to represent the zone in the Super Middle League that leads to qualification to the National Division One League next season.
Other matches played in the zone on Sunday, saw Soccer 4 Souls beating Samosa FC 8-2; Adom FC beat Mahoni FC 2-1 with Kumawuman FC losing 0-1 to Bantama Lions with all the matches played at one game centre, the Prempeh College football Park, Kumasi.
In third position on the table behind Soccer 4 Souls and MidCity FC are Deportivo FC with 10 points; Bantama Lions, (9), Adom FC, (9), Kumawuman FC, (6), Mahoni FC, (5), and Samosa FC with one point, completing the table in that order.
