Executive Council Member Frederick Acheampong has been greenlit as the Chairman of the Black Starlets Management Committee. Drawing from his rich background as the former Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold SC and his extensive involvement in both club and national team football, Acheampong brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Notably, Acheampong has been a key figure in CAF and FIFA since 2019, serving as General Coordinator. His contributions span various prestigious events, including the 2021 CAF Super Cup, the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations, the 2021 Beach Soccer Cup of Nations, and ongoing responsibilities at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire.
Backing Acheampong’s leadership, Chairman of the Eastern Regional Football Association, Linford Asamoah Boadu, steps in as Vice Chairman. Together, they form a formidable duo tasked with ensuring Ghana’s successful qualification for the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations and the U-17 FIFA World Cup.
The committee, armed with seasoned members, embarks on a mission crucial to the future of Ghanaian football. As the spotlight turns towards youth development, expectations are high for Acheampong and his team to guide the Black Starlets to new heights on the continental and global stage.
