In a surprising turn of events, Abukari Damba has been appointed as the interim head coach for Karela United until the end of the season. The decision came after a crucial meeting with the top hierarchies of the club in the early hours of yesterday.
Following the departure of the previous head coach, Damba will continue working with the existing technical team at Karela United. Notably, Damba brings a wealth of experience to the role, currently serving as a CAF/GFA coaches instructor in General Coaching. Furthermore, he holds a CAF license “A” and specializes as a Goalkeepers’ coaches instructor.
Damba’s leadership will face its first significant test as Karela United squares off against Kotoko in the upcoming MTN FA Cup. The football community eagerly awaits the outcome of this match under the guidance of the seasoned coach.
Wishing Coach Abukari Damba the best of luck in his new role at Karela United!
