In preparation for the 2024 General Elections, Vice president Dr. Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has unveiled his manifesto committee, with a surprise inclusion. Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has been appointed to lead the Youth and Sports division within the committee.
This decision has been met with widespread approval, as Gyan’s storied career in football and his commitment to youth development make him an ideal candidate for this role. His extensive experience on the field and as a leader within the sports community will provide valuable insights and strategies to help shape the NPP’s policies on youth and sports moving forward.
In his new role, Gyan is expected to work closely with Dr. Bawumia and the rest of the manifesto committee to develop innovative and practical solutions to the challenges facing the youth and sports sectors in Ghana. This move demonstrates the NPP’s commitment to harnessing the expertise and talent of individuals like Asamoah Gyan to drive meaningful change in the country’s development agenda.
