Ghana’s Futsal national team beat Raja Casablanca of Morocco 5-4 in a pre-AFCON friendly match on Saturday.
The game, played at the Salle Couverte Ibn Khaldoun, Mohammedia, was part of the team’s preparations for the tournament in Rabat.
The Ghana Futsal national team have intensified training for the tournament as they seek to win it for the first time.
Ghana, is in Group A for the tournament alongside the hosts, Zambia and Angola for this tourney starting on April 11.
The team is coached by Kaysports’ Philip Boakye, and they will open their account on April 11 against Zambia before playing hosts Morocco and Angola at the group stage.
They qualified for the event after overcoming Cote d’Ivoire over two legs in a final qualification playoff.
At stake at the 2024 AFCON Futsal tournament, are places for the world championships later this year.
Egypt, Libya, Namibia and Mauritania are in Group B for the tournament in Rabat.
Coach Philip Boakye is confident of leading Ghana towards qualification for the world championships, whilst aiming to win this tournament.
