The National Paralympic Committee of Ghana (NPC Ghana) has taken decisive action by issuing an indefinite suspension to seven individuals, citing their involvement in activities detrimental to the organization’s reputation and integrity.
The suspended individuals are:
1. Mr. Elvis Alipui – Ghana Wheelchair Basketball Federation
2. Mr. Kenneth Kalai – Amputee Football Federation
3. Philip Richster – Amputee Football Federation
4. Charles Narh Teye – Amputee Football Federation
5. Mohammed Shabaan – Para Cycling
6. Benjamin Charles Armah – Amputee Football Federation
7. Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe – Para Athletics / Wheelchair Basketball
The suspension follows a series of actions by these individuals, including false publications, negative public utterances, unwarranted letters to various entities, and conduct that has brought disrepute to NPC Ghana and the Paralympic Movement in Ghana.
According to the NPC Ghana Constitution, the Board has unanimously concluded that these actions constitute a breach of the constitution, leading to the loss of membership rights within the organization for the individuals involved.
