The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has announced new media rights and TV agreements for the 2024/25 CAF Interclub Competitions, following a successful bidding process for Pay TV (English) and Free to Air (all languages) in the Sub-Saharan African region.
These rights cover some of African football’s top club tournaments, including the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2024/25, TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2024/25, CAF Women’s Champions League 2024, and TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2025.
CAF has reached agreements with SuperSport International for PayTV (in English), as well as the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and Azam Media for Free to Air (FTA) broadcasts.
CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, highlighted the growing global competitiveness of African football, stating that the increased interest from major African and international broadcasters reflects the sport’s exponential growth. He welcomed SuperSport, SABC, and Azam Media as partners and affirmed CAF’s commitment to delivering world-class competitions and broadcast products.
TV audiences for the 2023/24 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League grew by over 25% in North Africa, while East Africa and Southern Africa saw over 40% growth in both TV audiences and digital engagement.
