The national women’s boxing team, the Black Hitters are preparing for the 2025 IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships to be held in Niš, Serbia in March.
The event is set to come off between March 8 and 17, with the Ghanaian team determined to cause a stir.
The International Boxing Association (IBA) announced that the registration period is opened until February 20, 2025, and there will be cash prizes at stake for winners.
The Hitters, are training at the Bronx Gym, in Accra, and they include Faruza Osman, Sarah Apau, Ramatu Quaye, Janet Adjei, Janet Acquah, Nasara Fuseni, Trudy Manteaw, Anatu Mohammed and Perpetual Okaija.
Vice President of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF), and other executives have been motivating the female boxers to give an excellent performance at the tournament to lift the image of Ghana Boxing high.
