Referee Maxwell Hanson is anticipating a good season for Ghanaian match officials as the new football season approaches.
The 2023-24 Ghana football season, is scheduled to commence next month with the betPawa Premier League.
And ahead of the big kick-off, referee Hanson who is one of Ghana’s top officials, believes together with his colleagues, they will rise up to the challenge in the coming campaign.
“I think we will be ready for the season when all the training programs are completed,” referee Hanson said in an interview.
Premier League referees and their assistants, have undergone the mandatory medicals ahead of the start of the new season.
This, referee Hanson believes is in the right step, and it will propel them to perform after they have undergone all the training programs.
The referees are expected to have physical and technical training, integrity training as well as training in the laws of the game among others before the season starts in September.
