The 2023 Ghana Open National badminton Championships is set to come off between August 4 and 6 in Accra.
Entries for the competition have been officially opened for interested participants to register tournament.
It has been scheduled to come off at the Trust Sports Emporium, Bukom, Accra.
Over 200 entries are expected for this individual and club’s open championship in both the men and women’s competitions.
Events to be competed for will include singles and doubles and mixed doubles in the juniors, seniors, and masters categories.
The Ghana Badminton Tournament Director, Delawoe Nyanyo, said, “We have recently revamped our high-performance programme with increasing global results and participation, enabling us to prioritize selected players capable of achieving national glory experience and challenge world-level opposition as part of their development in line with our performance programmes aiming to win Africa, Commonwealth, World, Paralympic and Olympic glory.”
“The 2023 National Championship is the most essential selection event organized this year,” he added.
Amateur and professional athletes from various badminton clubs and shared interest groups in Ghana will perform at a top level and make an unforgettable show which will contribute to the growing popularization of the sport in our country,” he ended.
