In breaking news, the Ghana Black Stars will play their Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 qualifier against Sudan in Ivory Coast. This decision follows the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) withdrawal of approval for the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, citing the poor condition of the pitch.
CAF’s decision was based on the stadium’s unsuitable playing field, which was found to have uneven surfaces, inadequate grass cover, and poor drainage. With no other CAF-approved venues available in Ghana, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has arranged for the crucial match to take place in Ivory Coast.
The GFA is working to resolve the pitch issues at Baba Yara Stadium, but for now, Ghana will prepare to play its home match against Sudan away from home.
