Ghana coach Otto Addo said Sudan will not be lucky a second time when the two nations meet again next Tuesday.
Coach Addo’s Black Stars side, were held to a goalless drawn game by the Sudanese in their 2025 AFCON qualifier in Accra on Thursday.
Ghana, missed a host of glorious opportunities to score in the game, with Sudanese goalkeeper Mohammed Mustafa Ahmed on top form on the day, winning the MVP in the game.
“Trust me, Sudan will not be lucky a second time when we meet in Libya,” Addo said after the game.
“Their goalkeeper was on form today, and we congratulate them on getting the result,” he added.
“I promise you, Ghana will be up for it on Tuesday in Libya, and we will win the game,” the former Black Stars player said.
The result, leaves Ghana with two points after three matches and in third position in the Group F qualifiers with only the top two nations advancing to the tournament proper in Morocco next year.
Angola leads the group with six points having played two matches with Sudan on four points with Niger on one.
Angola plays Niger on Friday in the other group game this weekend, and both Ghana and Sudan, will have an eye on the result heading into next week’s schedule.
