WBO Africa Lightweight champion Sheriff Quaye will defend his strap against Bright Ayala in Accra on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
The bout will be staged at the Golden Beach Resort, Accra as Quaye makes the send defence of his title.
This, will be the main event on the day being put up by Swavy Blu Promotions in collaboration with Bronx Promotions.
Quaye, 28, (22-3-1, 14KOs) made a spirited defence of the strap he won against Emmanuel Amos with a spireted performance against Otto Joseph in October last year.
The Ghanaian pugilist, coached by the experienced Carl Lokko, will look to old on to the title as he eyes a challenge for the world belt.
Quaye, is ranked 15 by the WBO, and knows he has to impress against his compatriot to boost his chances of getting closer to the world title.
Bright Ayala, 25, (16-1-1, 11KOs), is a tough customer on any day, and has national coach Dr. Ofori Asare in his corner.
The promoters have promised exciting undercards on the bill and it will be an opportunity to see some talented boxers on display.
