Ghana, recorded another win on the second day of the ongoing Group IV Africa Davis Cup tourney in Rwanda with a win over Cameroon.
The Golden Rackets, beat Cameroon 2-1 to all but secure qualification to the next round of the campaign.
Team Ghana, beat Kenya by the same margin on Wednesday, to get the campaign started on a high.
In a decisive doubles rubber on Thursday, Ghana’s pairing of Isaac Nortey and Abraham Asaba, won 6-1, 6-3 against Boriss Kamdem and Blaise Nkwenti of Cameroon, to secure the win.
Earlier, Nortey lost his singles rubber 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 to Boriss Kamdem of Cameroun.
Abraham Asaba, levelled the rubber for the Golden Rackets with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Blaise Nkwenti to set up the crucial doubles meeting which Ghana won.
The Golden Rackets will play their final Group A contest against Botswana on Friday, hoping to book a place in the finals of the competition as they seek to gain promotion to the African Zone III level.
