Bastie ‘The Beast’ Samir’s bout with journeyman Cleotis Pendarvis, has been pushed backed to August 19, the promotes have announced.
The bout, originally fixed for July 28 had to be rescheduled to August 19, for unexplained issues.
The bout will go ahead in Colorado as originally planned.
The undefeated Ghanaian light heavyweight Samir (20-0-1, 18 KOs) returns to the ring against the veteran American, Cleotis Pendarvis in a bout he is favoured to win.
The 34-year old, will be fighting for the first time since June 2022 when he defeated Pierre Kouengoue by a unanimous decision.
The Ghanaian hopes to bring his once promising career back on track to fulfill his ambition of winning a world title.
Samir, will be the favorite to win this contest against an opponent whose better years are behind him.
Pendarvis, 37, is a southpaw, with a ring record of 17-4-2, 6KOs.
“This bout is special in my career and I am focusing on a win to keep my ambitions of becoming world champion alive,” Samir said.
