Berekum Chelsea coach Christopher Ennin has said the 2023/24 football season must be allowed to run smoothly as the next campaign nears a start.
Frequent interruptions in the campaign he added, has the tendency to disrupt the progress of a club in achieving its set targets.
Coach Ennin, was speaking to the media after his sides pre-season friendly against lower tier side Kumasi Cornerstones on Wednesday.
Berekum Chelsea won the encounter 8-1, as they continued with their preparations for next season in the Garden City.
“We are having a good pre-season training, and I am hopeful that the boys will rise to the challenge next season,” he said.
Coach Ennin added: “We are focused on our targets for next season, and we will do all within our means to get to the end of it.”
The aim of the club is to improve on their performance of last season, targeting a top four finish.
“If the new season is allowed to run smoothly with the published calendar, I am confident of our success,” he stated.
Coach Ennin therefore charged the Ghana Football Association to follow the road map they have outlined for next season.
The 2023/24 betPawa Premier League, starts on September 15 with the Bibires at home to Bibiani Gold Stars in their opening game of the campaign.
