The Million Balls Africa Project will make a presentation of footballs to two schools and the Education Office at Akim Achiase in the Eastern Region.
The presentation has been planned to come off on January 16, 2024 at Akim Achiase, hometown of Ghana international footballer Inaki Williams.
Williams, scored his first Black Stars goal as Ghana defeated Madagascar 1-0 in Kumasi to get the nations quest to qualify to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States off to a winning start.
Prior to that game played on November 17, 2023, at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, Board Chairman of the Million Balls Africa Project, Charles Cobbina, urged the Black Stars to win the game in a goodwill message sent to the national team.
And in recognition of the role played by Inaki Williams in getting Ghana the win, the Million Balls Africa Project has decided to make this presentation.
The ‘Million Balls Africa Project’, is an initiative of ORPED Ghana that seeks to distribute one million soccer balls to countries in West Africa.
