The Tema Metropolitan Football Association,(TMFA), has distributed footballs to member clubs in the metropolis to aid in their development.
This was after it had taken delivery of it’s share of the Ghana Football Association, (GFA’s), footballs for grassroots development programme the head body initiated to support regional associations in moving the game forward.
The Tema Metro FA, distributed the footballs to member clubs in Division Three and at the juvenile level whose leagues are underway.
Chairman of the Tema Metro FA, Daasebre Adu-Asare, thanked the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and its parent body the Ghana Football Association (GFA), for this support.
He said, “We hope to receive more in the near future as we continue with the development and upliftment of football in the Tema metropolis.
Meanwhile, competition in the metropolitan leagues has seen the first round of the Division League ended with teams in all three zones looking forward to the start of the second round.
At the end of the contest, one club will qualify to the Greater Accra Regional Second Division League next season from the metropolis.
The juvenile leagues are also underway with the competition this season, keener than the previous one as clubs battle for respectable positions to close the season.
