Israel Yakubu is leading the scorer’s chat for MidCity FC as they charge towards qualification to the National Division One League next season.
The striker, has contributed eight of the 30 goals that MidCity FC have scored so far in the ongoing Ashanti Regional Second Division League as they top Zone Five.
The Lions, top the zone with 25 points after 10 games, four points ahead of second placed Soccer 4 Souls.
They are in pole position to secure qualification from the zone to the regional promotional league as the season unfolds.
And, Israel Yakubu, is leading that charge with his eight goals contribution which has seen him become the lead marksman in the zone.
In all, MidCity FC have scored 30 goals in the 10 league games they have played so far, and with four matches to end the zonal league, they look poised to score more.
Yakubu, and his colleagues, will look forward to this challenge with renewed energy as they target their aims at the end of the campaign.
The striker, has received great support in the goal scoring duties with the likes of Kingsley (5 goals), Blanco (4 goals), Kwame (2 goals), Taribo (2 goals) and Bakayoko (2 goals), have all contributed.
With a goal each this season, are CK, Antwi Asafo, Antwi Treka, Marcelo, Emma with two own goals also adding to the tally.
The team will look to add to that number this weekend as the season continues with the Matchday 11 fixtures.
