The leadership of Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) has met the boss of Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr. Eric Nkansah to discuss development collaboration between the two bodies.
This, when through, will enhance the Junior and Senior High School athletics competitions in the country.
This comes in the wake of the successful hosting of the 13th African Games in Ghana, and, tapping into its success is what both bodies are after.
This collaboration, is expected to enhance the inter schools and colleges athletics competitions nationwide as well as the NISAC Championships.
The GAA, wants to build on the success of the Track and Field event held at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon, which drew large crowds to the venue.
It is hoped that athletics would spring to a different level hence, as Ghana seeks to reclaim its lost glory in the sport.
