Sensational MidCity FC qualified for the Ashanti Regional Second Division Middle League in impressive fashion after topping the Zone Five league.
The Lions, gave been joined by seven other zonal winners for the promotional tournament that leads to qualification to the National Division One League (DOL).
The dates and venues for that competition, will soon be made known by the Ashanti Regional Football Association (ARFA), ahead of the campaign.
MidCity FC, finished tops in Zone Five, after beating off competition from seven other sides in the zonal competition.
In the 14 matches they played, they won 12, drew one and lost one, completely dominating affairs from start to finish.
MidCity FC, scored 43 goals, the most by any side in the region, and conceded 10 goals which was the second lowest in the league, finishing the campaign with 37 points to advance to the promotional tournament.
The Lions, will look to build on this going into the middle league competition as they seek to qualify to the DOL next season.
Also set to participate in the promotional tournament, are Fast Track FC who topped Zone One, Galaxy United Zone Two winners, Sasaani Panin from Zone Three, Longford FC (Zone Four), Benab FC from Zone Six, Ashanti Lynx (Zone Seven) and Jachie United who won Zone Eight.
All eight clubs will go into the tournament hoping to secure the sole ticket from the region to participate in the second tier league in Ghana next season.
