In an exclusive interview, Ouattara shared a stern warning he gave to young footballer Hamza Isaah regarding the deceptive promises made by his agent.
“I told Hamza Isaah I will put you in a police cell if you don’t cut this,” Ouattara recounted. “I was there and Hamza came and told me his agent said he is taking him to Manchester United, the next time Switzerland and then South Africa.”
Ouattara expressed his concern over the unrealistic expectations being set by the agent. “I told him if you don’t cut that shift they have put in your mind I will have you arrested. You just played a season and you think you’re ready there? See how the agents are lying to you,” he added.
The message from Ouattara highlights the challenges young players face with unscrupulous agents who make grand promises that often don’t align with the player’s current development stage.
