The week four fixture between Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko ended in a 1-1 stalemate at the Golden City Park, with both sides sharing the spoils in an intense and competitive game.
Asante Kotoko started the game strongly, taking the lead just two minutes into the match. Midfielder Michael Kyei Dwamena opened the scoring with a composed finish, giving the Porcupine Warriors an early advantage. Kotoko’s fast start put Berekum Chelsea on the back foot, and they struggled to find their rhythm throughout the first half.
However, Berekum Chelsea came out stronger after the break, pushing hard to find an equalizer. Their persistence paid off in the 61st minute when captain Zackaria Fuseini headed home from a set-piece to bring the home side level.
Both teams had opportunities to snatch a winner in the closing stages, but neither side could find the decisive goal. The draw sees both teams take a point from the match, with Kotoko still seeking consistency in their Ghana Premier League campaign.
