Emmanuel Boahene says Nations FC’s aim is to avoid relegation next season as the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League starts this weekend.
The captain of the club said they have prepared very well for their debut campaign in the Ghanaian top-flight, and will look to be a handful for many next season.
“I can tell you that we are ready for the start of the season, and the players are determined to prove a point in the coming campaign,” Boahene told the local media.
This was after Nations FC lost 2-0 to Hearts of Oak in a pre-season friendly played at Hearts’ Pobiman Training Complex on Sunday.
“Boahene added: “Our coaching staff have taken us through some tough drills in pre-season, and I am confident that this will manifest in our play going forward.”
“The task is to survive the campaign, and I am positive that we will achieve this at the end of the season,” he said.
Nations FC were promoted to the first tier league after winning the DOL Zone Two League last season.
The Abrankese-based side, will open their account in the league all things being equal at Dawu against FA Cup Lords Dreams FC next week Wednesday.
