The Kwahuhene and Life Patron of Okwawu United SC, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II has dissolved the board of the club with immediate effect, and has appointed a Club 100 Coordinator to run affairs instead.
This is after the board had achieved it’s purpose of securing qualification to the National Division One League (DOL) from the Eastern Regional Second Division.
The board, was put in place two seasons ago with a core mandate of qualifying the Soccer Mountaineers to the DOL which they have achieved.
The Overlord of the Kwahu Traditional Council, believes a new direction would be needed to steer the affairs of the Club in the second tier league next season as they aim to earn promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight.
The “Club 100” initiative is one of the major methods of running football, and has been the pillar for the club’s success since it’s introduction.
In view of that, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II has appointed Nana Antwi Darkwa as the Coordinator for the “Club 100” initiative.
The Business Mogul has been tasked to steer affairs of the Asaase Aban lads with the ambition of bringing the 1986 FA Cup winners back to the Ghana Premier League.
Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, congratulated the past board for being worthy ambassadors for the club, and wished the team well as they prepare for the 2023/24 DOL season.
