Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC has announced the signing of Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin as their new head coach.
He replaces Maxwell Konadu who has joined fellow top-flight side Nsoatreman FC.
The former Ghana U17 boys national team coach, will be in charge of the Royals from the beginning of the 2023/24 season, with his new role starting on August 1, 2023.
A statement from Legon Cities said details of of Coach Fabin’s contract would be revealed at his unveiling soon.
Deputy club CEO Kwabena Onyina Asenso said: “We are excited to bring in an experienced coach like Fabin. He is a winner who has coached many big clubs at the highest level. We will provide him all the necessary support to succeed here. We are looking forward to having a wonderful season together.”
Coach Fabin, 64, has coached club sides like Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Inter Allies, Heart of Lions, and was in charge of Aduana FC last season as they finished second behind Medeama SC in the betPawa Premier League.
He has also handled Uganda’s U17 side, and will be expected to bring that experience to Legon Cities next season.
Legon Cities, escaped relegation by a whisker last season, and chieftains at the club are looking to put things right to avoid a similar faith next season.
