The Tema Metro Division Three League is set to commence on the weekend of December 8 -10, 2023, it has been announced.
Next season’s campaign, is expected to feature 30 clubs as they battle for the sole ticket from the metropolis to the Greater Accra Second Division League.
Chairman of the Tema Metro FA Daasebre Adu-Asare gave this information at the congress of the Association on Thursday.
Mr Adu-Asare said, the Tema Metro FA expects all 30 clubs to confirm their participation in the league before mid November ahead of the start of the 2023/24 season.
The 30 teams, will be grouped into three zones to compete in a league format with the top two teams in each zone, advancing to the middle league.
The six teams that will emerge from the zonal league, will then be grouped into two groups of three teams each for the middle league with the winners from each group contesting a playoff to determine which side makes it to the Second Division League in the capital.
The zones and fixtures for the upcoming season, will be confirmed to the clubs by the Tema Metro FA before the start of the campaign.
Chairman Adu-Asare said, plans for the games to be televised live on television, are far advanced.
